Unplanned Growth is a site specific and ongoing installation, featuring progressive works by four CVAD students. Utilizing the north-facing window of the gallery, the installation is meant to engage passersby on Mulberry Street. On a weekly basis, participating artists will work on their constructions, providing continued opportunities for engagement between the artworks and the community.

By planning only the neccessary exhibition and artwork elements, such as scheduling, general material limitations, and a root idea, Unplanned Growth is designed to progress in an organic and collaborative manner. In this way, the artists propose a creative response to the current property development taking place on the northeast edge of the UNT campus, and in so doing, hope to develop a visual dialogue with those whose lives fall in close proximity.
