A summer tradition at the UNT Art Gallery, this exhibition features recent works in various media by artists enrolled in the graduate Studio Art and Design programs at the College of Visual Arts and Design. Curated by gallery staff and focused on process, criticism and ideology, the CVAD MFA showcase presents an open environment in which to consider works by emerging artists of our time.

EXHIBITION DESCRIPTION

From Here to There: Practice, Form, and Meaning gathers artworks that represent a journey or evolution in the artists' processes, in the form, imagery, and methodology of the works, and in the creation of meaning, both in the studio and in the viewing experience, where content unfolds through sustained investigation.

Participating artists are William Bridges (sculpture), Chance Dunlap (sculpture), Trey Egan (drawing and painting), Michael Furrh (sculpture), Michael Garlitz (ceramics), Adam Neese (photography), Alisa Otto (fashion), Delaney Smith (fibers), Giovanni Valderas (drawing and painting), Joshua West (watercolor), and Caleb Zouhary (ceramics).
